Studded Fingerless Gloves

These gloves just scream 80's, and I'm sure listening. These gloves from ASOS are 100% leather and 100% affordable. Watch out Madonna, I'm about to put your hands to shame.

Night Chameleon Ring

Who needs a pet snake when you can wear this Chameleon Ring from Max & Chloe around your finger. The only thing you have to feed this baby is a whole lot of dough.

Fossil Jewels

In theory, wearing this bracelet from DSQUARED2 would be like wearing the skeleton of some poor dead animal. But I can't help but love how eclectic and unique it is. It's a bit pricey for my taste, but if I ever see a knock off I'm definitely gonna swoop on up. Word.

Shifting Gears

So, this whole blog thing didn't really work out. But I've decided to shift gears for Design Frankly and compile on here all the random shit that I am obsessed with. Most of it will probably be my current fashion obsessions, but I'm sure some other random things will creep in here now and then. Here's to remembering my New Year's resolution only weeks before the year was over!

FPO - For Print Only

I'm obsessed with this site, FPO. They are constantly updating their blog with all kinds of truly amazing printed media. Not only that, but they have lots of photos so you can really see all the care and detail put into the work. The one pictured above is a beautiful wedding invitation that I'm personally gaga over! Click here to check it out. But that's only the tip of the iceberg, you really should check out their site to see all the other excellent work displayed there.

I hope you enjoy their site as much as I do!!!

Great Resource for Designers!!

Over at Designers Toolbox they have some really amazing resources for designers! You can look up standard sizes for envelopes, folders, CD and DVD covers, postcards and more. Not only can you look up the sizes, but you can download (for free!) a die line, so all you have to do is open and start designing!!! The die lines for envelopes and postcards also take into consideration US postal guidelines so you don't design in areas that need to be left blank. Happy Designing!!!

I can't get enough of this T-shirt war! It's a really fun and creative concept, and the animation is awesome!

Message in a Bottle

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so here's my first post for great gift ideas! It's so easy to get sucked into the commercialism of Valentine's Day and buy flowers, candy and cheesy cards. Why not put some extra thought and time into a gift for your significant other. With that in mind, I found this simple DIY project on Design Sponge. They provide you with step-by-step instructions and the finished project is beautiful. Plus you can add your own twist, this idea is open to your interpretation and imagination!

The Atlas of Calendria

In layman's terms, this is a Calendar. A uniquely and beautifully executed calendar. I was confused at first, but the concept is "calendar-as-world," so each month is a country and the twelve countries/months make up the world of Calendria. Above you can see the illustrated Atlas of Calendria. More info here.

I wasn't totally sure what to expect when I ordered mine, but what I received in the mail was nothing short of exceptional. It's such a unique concept and no detail was left out, each month/country even has it's own coat of arms!

These are for sale at Etsy.

Brava to Electrofork, this is a great piece.
